Youth Programs
The Chickasaw Council offers programs to meet the needs of young men and women of all ages. Our programs are age-appropriate, relevant, and fun!
Each of our programs is divided into units, which are sponsored by organizations all over the Mid-South; this division helps to ensure that youth all over the council can access Scouting, no matter where they live!

Cub Scouts serves youth in kindgergarten through fifth grade, and it is open to boys and girls. Scouts earn adventures and ranks based on their grade level, while enjoying traditional experiences, like camping, hiking, and swimming, in addition to exciting opportunities like climbing, S.T.E.M. activities, and shooting sports!
Scouts BSA is for youth in fifth grade through high school (ages eleven to eighteen). As of February, 2019, this premier program of the Boy Scouts of America is open to young men and women. Participants in this program work toward achieving Scouting's highest honor, the Eagle Scout rank, through camping and outdoor activities, leadership, and an extensive merit badge program.
Venturing is for young men and women from ages fourteen to twenty. Venturers are afforded many opportunities for high adventure, S.T.E.M., and nontraditional Scouting activities. While the program is less structured than Cub Scouts or Scouts BSA, Venturers can work toward ranks and achievements.
Exploring is for young people ages fourteen to twenty; it it open to young men and women. In this program, youth participants are matched with an organization in a field in which the Scout is interested in a career, including healthcare, law enforcement, business, fire and E.M.S., skilled trades, science, and technology. This is a fantastic program for youth preparing to enter the workforce!
