The Chickasaw Council is offering an opportunity to become a
Certified Shotgun Shooting Instructor.
Class Dates/Times:
Friday, December 5, 2025 – via ZOOM; 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Basic Instructor Training (BIT)
Saturday, December 6, 2025 – Camp Currier: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Basic Shotgun Shooting & Instructor Training
Sunday, December 7, 2025 – Camp Currier: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Instructor Training in Shotgun Shooting

This course teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, promoting, and teaching NRA’s Basic Shotgun Shooting Course and the BSAs Shotgun Shooting Merit Badge. Candidates will learn policies and procedures; basic public speaking skills; training methodology; use of a training team and training aids; organizing a course, building a budget; and finally preparing to teach.
Course Fee:
$150.00 for Registered Scout Leaders, $250.00 for non-BSA members payable to Chickasaw Council.

Includes:
Saturday lunch and dinner are included as well as Sunday lunch.

Registration closes two weeks prior to the start of class. Payment must be made one week prior to start date.
There is a 4 person minimum per class. Classes that do not meet this minimum before registration closes will be cancelled.
