Scouting's High Adventure Camps - Featuring Florida Sea Base
Scouting is not just about camping on land. You might just get to a camp on a boat!
While camping and outdoor experiences are a well-known part of the Scouting program, there are four high adventure bases that provide true wilderness experiences in some of the country's most beautiful locales. These are "capstone" adventures that every Scout aspires to attend.
This week we highlight the Florida National High Adventure Sea Base. Scouting's Sea Base camps located in the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, and U.S. Virgin Islands provide high adventure on the high seas!
- Sea Base campers have opportunities to sail the ocean, scope out coral reefs and enjoy scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, ocean kayaking and camping in a high adventure setting.
- Scouts and Venturers can choose from 20 different Sea Base adventures. This can include scuba diving at a five-star PADI Instructor Development Resort, camping on Sea Base's own primitive barrier island, enjoying a STEM program where you will catch and tag sharks to collect critical scientific data or sailing on a 40-45 foot sailboats to St. Thomas, Key West or the Bahamas.
All of Sea Base's programs are an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime.
