Today's Did You Know is featuring Philmont Scout Ranch.
Located in the Sangre de Cristo range of the Rocky Mountains in Cimarron, New Mexico. Philmont is the BSA's largest national high adventure base, covering 140,177 acres of rugged mountain wilderness with 35 staffed camps and 55 trail camps and home of the Philmont Training Center. These adventurous amenities are open to Scouts, families, and leaders. Since it was founded in 1938, over 1 million participants have taken advantage of the trek programs.
